I had no idea what to expect from The Purple Rabbit Fringe show. The poster of a cartoon woman wearing purple bunny ears didn’t give any clues as to the chaos and mayhem that was about to unfold. Being performed at The Garden of Unearthly Delights, be warned, if you go down this rabbit hole, you’ll be in for one crazy, mind-blowing experience!

Take all your favourite parts of the Adelaide Fringe, blend them together, and you’ll end up with The Purple Rabbit. Part magic, part circus but choc-full of raunchiness and fun, it’s a performance that will give you the complete Fringe experience in 70 hectic minutes. The show won me over straight away as magician and illusionist Dom Chambers made half a dozen beers appear out of one seemingly empty paper bag. It was then followed by a frenetic beatbox display from Barcelona native Kerol. This is a man who manages to do amazing things with his voice, much like actor Michael Winslow (Police Academy), but has the enviable added attributes of juggling and a great comedic flair to his bow. Resident sexual psychic-cologist Harper Jones brings a calmer demeanour to The Purple Rabbit. Regularly interacting with the crowd, she managed to unravel some of the audience’s deepest darkest sexy secrets. While the Unnamed Magician did some truly mind-bending illusions where I could watch them 100 times and still not work out how it's done. But the highlight for me had to be seeing the superiority of foot juggler Emma. Able to juggle not one but two umbrellas on only her feet and topping it off with a furious display of coffee table juggling, this a woman who, like the rest of this magnificent cast, has managed to perfect their craft. This is one show that’s not to be missed!
