‘Wound up’ are the words that Nick Carr uses to describe himself on stage. The man is an absolute whirlwind with a mic – he truly brings his eclectic and vibrant personality into every joke and story he tells. The audience is left laughing just at his mannerisms, persona, and goofy way with words. Carr’s show is a passionate mix of dark humour, harebrained tangents, and energetic performance that keeps the audience roaring. He is a fan of including his audience into the joke, so don’t be afraid to join in on the punchline. Carr is a master at finishing a comedic storyline with a self-depreciating dark twist, something to be admired as well as enjoyed. If you’re fan of the comedic styles of Jimmy Carr and Sean Lock – Nick Carr is someone not to miss this Fringe.
