What is Adelaide Fringe?

Adelaide Fringe is the biggest arts festival in the Southern Hemisphere that celebrates culture, place and artists from across the globe. It completely transforms Adelaide and greater South Australia for 31 magical days and nights during February and March each year. With more than 1,400 shows and 500 venues, Adelaide Fringe has something for everyone.

The next Adelaide Fringe will take place from 21 February to 23 March 2025.

Find a venue near you
One way to narrow down shows is by choosing a venue and then checking out what's on. Fringe is made up of 500+ venues spanning the CBD, suburbs and regional areas across the state. Key hubs include The Garden of Unearthly Delight, Gluttony, The Courtyard of Curiosities, Fool's Paradise and more.

Did you know Adelaide is the first and only city in the southern hemisphere to gain global status as a National Park City? Given our iconic Fringe Hubs are placed on flourishing CBD parklands, it only seems fitting! The only other city in the world that’s been acknowledged with this status is London.
