PETER GOËRS is SENIOR CITIZEN KANE
26 March 2026 - henry m.Old mate, Peter Goers is a skilled performer who takes us back over the last 50 + years with great memories. The pre-deathers need an afternoon of some fun and reminiscing. Peter is an honest performer although he seems to keep his age well hidden. -
Bob Marley: How Reggae Changed The World
26 March 2026 - henry m.saw Bob Marley, How reggae changed the world. standing Ovation, Hidden Gem. You know those shows where one doesn't need an intimate knowledge of the topic to enjoy the show, this is one of those shows. The bonus is the references to Duane's personal story. Fabulous show, well written and skillfully performed. -
Her Story of the Blues
23 March 2026 - henry m.A history lesson of the blues at my favourite venue, Holden Street Theatres. A nice final show for me and Adelaide Fringe 2026. Really enjoyed the music and the audience participation. Marie Thérèse is a talented performer, both with guitar and keyboards and the effects pedal. I'd love to see her again. Thank you. -
Lindsey Kraft + A Piano Present: We've Been Here Before
22 March 2026 - henry m.I think this play has potential. It does need some work though, Lindsey has time. I would like it a bit tighter. Music wise, she has an amazing voice and can certainly play the piano. She delivers the lines perfectly. I DID enjoy the experience. Probably if pressed 3 stars from me. -
Bond Songs: The Music of 007
20 March 2026 - henry m.From the group that brought us a musical based on the songs of Adele, we have Bond songs: Before the official reviews are in, HM's review: excellent choice of songs and delivered very well by Oliver and Leticia. Great band. Leticia's gowns, stunning. And maybe Oliver is auditioning for the next 007. Why not? i recommend this show, get in quick before the run ends. -
Like A Star
20 March 2026 - henry m.I foolishly missed this one. I know the talents of Leticia having seen her in 2 other shows. Hope she is back next time., -
Eat The Rich (but maybe not me mates x)
19 March 2026 - henry m.Seen Jades show 3 or 4 times now, lost count. Have been lucky enough to meet her at Holden Street, lovely lady. I knew she was the writer, but wasn't aware this was her story. I now get it. She certainly crystallizes the class system for me. I just loved this play and feel so fortunate to have experienced this at my favourite Theatre venue in Adelaide. A few more show and we bid farewell to Adelaide Fringe 2026. -
Tree of Dreams
19 March 2026 - henry m.I didn't realise I hadn't left a react to this show. This one man play is autobiographical about a young boy growing up in government housing. His parents split when he was a young boy and he had dreams. This is a beautiful story told with feeling with the use of some small props. Duane the creator/performer says he is still developing this story, it looks pretty developed to me. 5 stars from me. bravo Duane -
'The Soaking of Vera Shrimp' from Patch of Blue
17 March 2026 - henry m.Vera is still amazing. Sorry if you missed it as its now sold out for the remainder of its run. Great writing and great performance. -
Shadows of Herself
16 March 2026 - henry m.Anna is great. Not sure if a guy is the demographic of this play. But, I can relate to some of these characters. The perfect woman or better still the most organised, I have a friend like this. Everything perfectly organised and executed. The girl who is least organised and full of drama. I know her as well. Well done, Anna -
Why I Stuck A Flare Up My Ar** For England
13 March 2026 - henry m.Saw this show 4 times last year and another 4 times this year. Why you ask? It is that good. Its a play with an important message. The story builds to an emotional ending. The best part of the Fringe shows for me is the opportunities to interact with the performers and provide immediate feedback. I love this. Hope you see the Bum Flare Play -
Hannah Maxwell: My Gay Lady (I, AmDram)
13 March 2026 - henry m.Saw I am.Dram last night at the Holden Street Theatres. I had no expectations as I had already seen many amazing shows. The theme of Hannah working with an amateur theatre company, playing, rehearsing, and auditioning. Hannah is a great story teller. I found it a slow burn that really delivered by the end. Really glad I saw this. Dialogue delivered perfectly by Hannah. The audience interaction was very funny. Thanks Kathryn for the recommendation.
