Living on Country

South Australia
Artist Micky Barlow presents 'Living on Country'. Micky is a proud Kokatha woman whose works relate to her surroundings, an abundance of bush foods, the Fleurieu coastline, wild life and flora and fauna. Her exhibition will capture her love for the place she now calls home. In addition Micky will conduct demonstrations and talks with the opportunity for people to participate in interactive artworks. This project supports continued growth in establishing strong cultural connections. The rich layered experience also includes additions to our menu and cocktails list with bush tucker foods including local and regional herbs, plants and produce used by Aboriginal people from the region for thousands of years. This unique Fringe event offers an immersion opportunity into the oldest living culture.
