Dupang Pangari (Coorong Spirit) Festival
Sharing culture, healing the spirit, connect to Country. Join Senior Elder Major Moogy Sumner for a camping festival & corroboree. Come together on Ngarrindjeri Lands on the beautiful shores of the Coorong. Dance together. Participate in workshops. Yarning storytelling circles. Artist marketplace. Listen, join in and learn together.
Arrive Friday afternoon. Set up camp. Join the sunset welcome smoking ceremony. Saturday, Interactive workshops across the festival lead by First Nations artists including basket weaving, club and clapstick carving, yidaki, boomerang throwing. Sunset corrobboree with dance, music and stories around the sacred fire. Sunday spend time walking on Country and finishing off workshop projects. The camp will wrap up with a closing ceremony lead by Uncle Moogy.

Major "Moogy" Sumner is a world renowned performer and cultural ambassador of Ngarrindjeri arts, crafts, martial arts and traditional culture. He wants to show to the Australian people that Aboriginal culture is about sharing and working together for the benefit of the whole community and for Country. Tal-Kin-Jeri Dance Group was founded in 1997 by Major Sumner and Loretta Sumner to showcase Aboriginal dance, stories, music, art, language and culture.
