Ajar
06 March 2025 - Andrew G.A tragic comedy, Ajar begins with two sisters contemplating life, specifically how miserable one of them has become. This sister has decided that the solution to her problems is to deliberately get Alzheimer's disease. As that may suggest, the humour here can be both dark and ridiculous. I never felt the play crossed any lines though, largely thanks to the other sister keeping things grounded. I very much appreciated that Ajar ends with a glimpse of hope, as ambiguous as it was. Recommended!
