A surprising level of maturity displayed in what was a very slick performance for the first time putting on a show scripted by the artist, with music arranged by a friend back in South Africa.
The show tells the story of her family's migration to South Australia, all to the theme of the Wizard of Oz, and with a lovely feeling of whimsy tinged with sadness in spots.
Well worth the ticket and your time. :)

Wonderful use of music and musical theatre references to tell a deeply personal story. Tayla has a great voice and a fantastic sense of comedic timing. Her parodies of her parents are a hilarious highlight! Highly recommended.
