Tayla in Oz
12 March 2026 - Mark W.A surprising level of maturity displayed in what was a very slick performance for the first time putting on a show scripted by the artist, with music arranged by a friend back in South Africa. The show tells the story of her family's migration to South Australia, all to the theme of the Wizard of Oz, and with a lovely feeling of whimsy tinged with sadness in spots. Well worth the ticket and your time. :) -

11 March 2026 - Tara-Anne Y.We had the pleasure of watching “Tayla in Oz” at Fringe. Immigration is not for the faint-hearted, and her heartfelt journey from South Africa to Australia truly shone through. Tayla is from our original hometown, which made her story and the courage it takes to follow your dreams so meaningful to us. We’ve been lucky to watch her grow from school performances to this polished world class production. Uplifting, funny and full of powerful vocals, Tayla should be incredibly proud. -

09 March 2026 - Marian W.I absolutely LOVED this show!!! From the moment she came onto stage, Tayla was totally captivating. She cleverly set her family’s immigration story to Australia to the tunes from Wicked, The Wizard of Oz and The Wiz. Her singing, her humour, acting and her storytelling ability was outstanding. I can’t remember when I felt the need at a Fringe show to give a standing ovation but I was on my feet at this one!!! Bravo Tayla. You are a star!! -

09 March 2026 - Jason G.This is the second amazing world premiere by local artists in 2 days and I would love to see more within the festival . Tayla structured the show extremely well and did a brilliant job in both singing and story telling. Loved the show and you can see the influence of the mentoring of the established cabaret stars on these great young talents. -

08 March 2026 - Dolores S.This young lady is going places her first play production that she wrote and produced with some help from other senior people and she based it on the music of The wizard of Oz and a lot of her stories was relative to the people that were there who were mainly South Africans I think I took my Australian friend and she's just absolutely adored the show I hope she will continue in her future to produce more shows and that the Fringe will put up there on a high pedasil 10 out of 10
