Pack your ruby slippers and join Tayla Alexander as she follows her own yellow brick road from South Africa to Australia! 'Tayla in Oz' is a playful, heartfelt cabaret about chasing dreams, finding home, and everything in between. Featuring songs from The Wizard of Oz and Wicked, Tayla blends powerhouse vocals, humour, and heart as she shares her story of immigration. Uplifting, funny, and full of magic, this is a journey that proves sometimes you have to get lost to discover where you truly belong.

Tayla Alexander is a South African performer and proud graduate of the Elder Conservatorium of Music (Bachelor of Music Theatre). During her time there, she interned Erin James as Assistant Director in Shrek: The Musical!, where she also played the Ugly Duckling. Her other university credits include Aunt March (Beth Cover) in Little Women, Ensemble in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and soloist in Magic, Myths and Monsters. In South Africa, Tayla appeared in the professional cabaret Love Stage and KykNET’s television series Hollywood! Hier Kom Ek!. She also represented South Africa at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles. Tayla makes her professional debut at the Adelaide Fringe with her original cabaret exploring her immigration journey to Australia.
