play.
06 March 2026 - Georgia B.A fusion of physical theatre, clowning, poetry, storytelling, and above all, play that results in a joyous and nostalgic experience. Robbie, the sole performer, is a big kid at heart who throughout the hour invites the audience to play with him, in an intimate interactive show. The lighting is gorgeous, the performance is heartwarming and the use of props (ahem, toys) ties the whole thing together. This is undoubtedly still a very special show that all “grown-ups” should see. -
RIP, DRAG & RUMINATE
06 March 2026 - Georgia B.This was the first year I have attended the annual showcase of TAFE/Flinders Bachelor of Dance Performance graduates work…I’m very glad I did. The variety in dance styles, music choices, messaging in each section was incredible, and the talent demonstrated on stage between dance and choreography ability was stunning. Absolutely worthwhile for lovers of dance - particularly those considering the path professionally in their future. -
Sweeties
05 March 2026 - Georgia B.This is such a clever and comedic commentary on the way women are set up to compete with each other - and how, despite our best intentions, we can find ourselves playing the game to “win”. Every moment has so much meaning behind it and every moment will feel uncomfortably familiar for female audiences. If that won’t convince you to go and see it, do it for the awesome performances and production values! -
Woke Loud Witch
05 March 2026 - Georgia B.An interactive one woman show led by a “woke loud witch” brewing a potion to spread queer joy throughout the world. This show was so original, from the content to the location - the potion ingredients were well thought out and explained, the delivery was delightful and endearing, and the whole experience was intimate and inspiring. -
Gillian Cosgriff - Life, Oh Life
03 March 2026 - Georgia B.One of Australia’s favorite cabaret performers has returned after a few years hiatus from Fringe, bringing a show that examines the experience of life now and then through musings and music. With her jazzy vocals and keys, excellent lyricism, and her smart, funny (and combination of the two, witty) content, Gill is magnetic onstage and makes audiences feel at ease with her. -
Love is a Game: An Adele Song Cycle
03 March 2026 - Georgia B.Taking the beloved classics and quiet gems of Adele's discography and threading them together to tell the stories of three characters and their intersecting love lives, this show is equally funny and moving in examining all stages and kinds of love. With heavenly vocal arrangements, slick choreography and deeply considered direction and dramaturgy, all delivered by some of the best young performers in Adelaide, this is truly one of the best things on offer at Fringe. -
One Must Imagine the Boiling Frog Happy
03 March 2026 - Georgia B.This is probably one of the most unique shows you’ll ever see - in essence, a man sits in a hot tub and talks to you for an hour as if you are his child (complete with icy poles). It’s funny and thoughtful and absurd - one for those looking for something very Fringe. -
Hannah Maxwell: BABYFLEAREINDEERBAG
03 March 2026 - Georgia B.This is one of the most vulnerable and honest Fringe shows I’ve ever seen. Hannah is a clever and creative comedian who in this show runs a workshop/focus group full of audience interaction where she shares ideas for/excerpts of future shows, in hopes she’ll be told what will get her the Netflix options, book deals etc. (à la Fleabag) Artists, this will make you feel absolutely seen - I cannot implore you (and anyone with a love for the arts) to GO AND SEE IT. -
Meteors
01 March 2026 - Georgia B.A beautiful, heartwarming and moving true story, tracing the performer’s personal experience with grief. This one woman play shares familiar and new insights about losing a loved one, told through a ‘mosaic’ of non-linear vignettes on an empty stage. Performed with notable clarity and considered delivery, and soundtracked with a near-constant stirring score, this one will have you in your feels, whether you’ve walked the path of parental grief before or not. -
The Elephant Room
28 February 2026 - Georgia B.A two-hander with a fascinating concept at its core (I won't say too much as spoilers) that will leave you contemplative - this play utilized light and music beautifully throughout, and sparseness, stillness and silence were clearly intentional and intensifying. I tip my hat to the actors for giving a consistent performance to a small audience! -
Girlhood in the Bathroom
28 February 2026 - Georgia B.A one act musical with an original concept at its core based on a common experience of women everywhere - going to the bathroom with friends on a night out. With a variety of musical numbers in lengths and styles with layered harmonies, complemented with considered choreography and blocking, and supported by simple staging, this show is written and performed by fresh but VERY profesh theatre graduates, who explore so much within their work. This one is for the girlies, plain and simple. -
RULES
28 February 2026 - Georgia B.An incredibly unique offering all the way from Taiwan; an interactive theatre experience in which the audience enter a "classroom" and participate in a series of "exams" all with the goal to achieve circles to reach honor board and avoid crosses to be put in re-education. I feel the premise pitched in the show's marketing wasn't quite achieved - I was expecting more social commentary and stakes. But if you’re after a fun night out of games, this is one to go to!
