Volunteer Program Coordinator

 Volunteer Program Coordination  

  • Coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, induction, training and scheduling of Adelaide Fringe volunteers. 
  • Coordinate the deployment of volunteers across Adelaide Fringe events, activations and festival operations.
  • Build positive relationships with volunteers, fostering a welcoming, inclusive and supportive volunteer experience. 
  • Coordinate Volunteer Program Interns, providing day-to-day guidance and support. 
  • Attend Adelaide Fringe-managed events that require volunteer support, providing on-the-day briefings, coordinating volunteer activities and ensuring volunteers are well supported to deliver a positive festival experience. 
  •  Liaise with venues, artists, contractors and other stakeholders to coordinate volunteer placements where required.
  • Coordinate volunteer communications, ensuring volunteers receive timely and accurate information throughout the festival lifecycle.
  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of key volunteer initiatives, including Volunteer Induction and the End of Season Celebration. 
  • Support the implementation of Adelaide Fringe's diversity, inclusion and accessibility initiatives within the Volunteer Program. 

 Administration & Operations 

  • Maintain accurate volunteer records, role descriptions and resources within the volunteer management system. 
  • Prepare volunteer rosters and coordinate shift allocations to support festival operations. 
  • Administer volunteer benefits and recognition initiatives. 
  • Monitor volunteer attendance and respond to operational changes throughout the festival. 
  • Assist with reporting, program evaluation and the continuous improvement of volunteer processes and systems. 
  • Ensure all volunteer activities are delivered in accordance with Adelaide Fringe policies, procedures and Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
