From its origins as a 1950's motoring workshop to the vibrant hub of creative thinking it is today, The Alley merges industrial heritage with eclectic grunge and contemporary design. The space is flexible, with an outdoor courtyard that can be used for performances as well as a pre-show gathering spot. The adjoining warehouse suits events that need to be enclosed or for when a larger venue is needed. The spaces adjoin and so can also be opened up as one. The Alley has previously hosted shows ranging from intimate events such as book readings from authors and an Adelaide Guitar Festival launch, right through to multimedia music and art performances including Fringe shows 7 years running.
