South Australia
For one show only, take in the Art Deco surrounds of the heritage-listed Capri
Theatre as Adelaide's finest young musicians take you through the best of
big band jazz. With music from the Ellington and Basie songbooks and much
more, you'll think you're at the Savoy or the Apollo in New York as you
sip on a drink and enjoy the charms of the Capri and these talented jazz
players. With four nationally-recognised school music programs joining
forces for this event, plus a chance to hear the historic 'Wurlitzer'
theatre organ, 'Stompin' at the Capri' is not to be missed!
“Some of the finest young big bands in the country. They may still be in high school, but that’s exactly what makes the level these young people perform at all the more amazing!” Ross Irwin, The Cat Empire
