Spooners for Crooners

Cabaret • Musical Theatre
Queensland • SA Premiere
Spooners for Crooners is a comedic musing of the crooner, embodied by the moustachioed character 'Mac' who tares down paper moons to seek true intentions of the croon. And with the help of an exquisite trio of spoons: violin, double bass and keyboards, as well as larger than life character Penelopa, the crooner discovers a voice all of their own.

Delivering old favourites and backlash ballads, Spooners for Crooners is a two hour musical spectacular inspired by Karen Carpenter's coos over her Superstar who 'told me you loved me baby' and Patsy Cline's brave 'walks after midnight searching for you'.
