SF Wrens
SF Wrens are Newcastles #1 bird-related bird name band. 8 piece powerhouse of genre bending joy. With tracks tackling subject matter from the nature of existence, all the way to wombat road safety.
After cutting their teeth on Duncan Woods' back catalogue over the years, SF Wrens has absorbed new members, new sounds and a style all of its own which has culminated in a new upcoming EP “Bird Of The Year”.
SF Wrens make light of the idea of genre as they focus their energy on the joy of the live show, and are currently doing a little tour of Adelaide to promote their new EP.
Presented by: SF Wrens
SF Wrens are an 8-piece, genre-bending whirlwind of horns, big riffs, tasty rhythms and infectious feel-good funk. Often described as the lovechild of The Cat Empire and The Herd, their sound is dynamic and deeply collaborative — the product of an evolving 8-piece lineup with a shared love of rhythm, storytelling and connection. Balancing big musical moments with thoughtful lyricism.
Rejecting the idea of neat genres, SF Wrens put their energy where it matters most: the live show. Expect a flowing, slightly mad performance that’s colourful, celebratory and designed to get you moving!
They're swooping in to Adelaide Fringe from Newcastle so catch these birds while you can!
