PSYCH WARD FAMOUS - how I became Jesus and interviewed a warlord
Internationally celebrated stand-up comic Sian Smyth (Raw Comedy National Finalist; ABC COMEDY; SBS On Demand; co-host of Comedians' Guide to True Crime) presents "PSYCH WARD FAMOUS - how I became Jesus and interviewed a warlord".
What does a cannibal warlord, America's first female serial killer, and a crippling psychotic episode all have in common? Come find out in this insightfully dark stand-up show about social status and what we'll do for it.
Through a manic episode that put her face-to-face with a Liberian cannibal warlord, years in sex work, and living with psychosis, Sian traces one brutal pattern: people doing terrible things to feel important. She lightens things up with the story of serial killer Aileen Wuornos and asks—how different are we, really?
Dark, honest, and funny in all the wrong ways.
"Phenomenal… big fan." — Doug Stanhope
