Poet and film-maker Mark Niehus takes his writing from the page to the street in 'Outside Light.' This mesmerising street projection showcases a series of projected original short films, transforming a large building facade into a captivating visual canvas that can be viewed nightly, after dark and continuously looped until 1am. The projection includes the film 'Shiver,' which was screened in the 2018 Juteback Poetry Film Festival in Colorado.

This prolific Adelaide based Artist has produced five street projections across Adelaide over the last year, providing a unique street projection experience that fuses his imagery, with an original soundscape and poetry to stimulate the senses and surprise and delight unexpected audiences.

Mark Niehus combines his poetry with digital art, video & music to create environments that capture & expand the mood, rhythms & meaning of his writing. Always seeking new ways to apply an experimental ethos, Mark’s work illuminates & transforms urban environments into captivating visual canvases & poetic soundscapes. After years abroad, travelling & working as a new media designer in London, Mark returned to Australia to publish his first book of poems in 2008 & focus his artistic practice to create artworks integrated with his writing. Over the last 10 years Mark has conceived & delivered an array of poetry films, projection art, street & visual art, composed poems for the public on his typewriter, solo exhibitions & installations for Local Government, Arts organisations, festivals.
