Life's a Playground

Circus • Children's
South Australia • World Premiere

Our playgrounds have become digital. Our young people are able to connect more than ever, yet they often feel even more disconnected. So, we decided to connect through PLAY. Good old fashioned play. Where you don't need a 1000 followers. You don't need hundreds of likes. You just need yourself and your imagination and to be in the moment. Then life really can be a playground. A place to have fun and take risks. To explore games and ways to interact without devices! Our talented CircoBats Prepatory Performance Ensemble invites you to their circus playground for an hour of play!

CircoBats is a not-for-profit organisation that was founded by the late Franky Charman-Green in 2008. CircoBats prides itself on being a female run and led entity. Both of Franky's daughters, Alex and Zoe Charman, continue to share their mother’s passion in circus and play a vital role in CircoBats classes, performances and general operations. Since 2009, CircoBats was lead by Head Trainer, Leanne Hamilton-Kinnear, and performed in various stages around Adelaide and beyond. In mid-2016, the position of Head Trainer was transferred to Alex Charman, as CircoBats dealt with the loss of its two beautiful performers, Caitlin Hamilton and Willow Hamilton. As of 2016, CircoBats decided to expand its size, and now offers an exciting range of classes for young, old and all ages in between.
