Three acrobats sit contorted and crumpled over each other on the floor with woeful facial expressions, set against a bright purple background. They are covered in teddy bears and a bouquet of flowers. Maxx on the left holds a ribbon tied to floating silver helium balloons which read "Get Well Soon". Emily on the far right has her leg up at a straight angle.
Three white young adults sit in a staged medical waiting room. To the left, Maxx who wears a medical coat holds a purple stethoscope to Abbie’s head, who is sat on the ground holding a hot water bottle. To the right, Emily with dark curly hair sits on a chair reading medical notes and leans her arm on Maxx’s stethoscope, looking into the camera with a blank expression.
Emily, a white young woman, stands centre frame wearing a white shirt and dark curly hair. She holds onto a young man with a ponytail in a medical coat who hangs from her shoulders, as another pair of legs in plaid pyjamas stands balancing on Emily’s shoulders holding a teddy bear.

CANCELLED - Get Well Soon

Circus • Comedy
Australia • SA Premiere

Exploring experiences of chronic pain, waiting rooms, and unsolicited medical advice, this gutsy new circus is a triumph in finding the humour in complex and critical conversations around our healthcare.

Circus has never felt so frustratingly cathartic as in this show by boldly vulnerable bodies, who shout with science and flip with sharp comedic empathy. This new collective is led by creatives with chronic pain, illness and disability, making this the show created by and for the folks who can’t just ‘Get Well Soon’.

Whether you’ve seen too many doctors, you are a doctor, or you love someone who's going through it: 'Get Well Soon' will empower and advocate the strength behind a diagnosis (and the circus of getting one).

“Inspiring, intelligent, funny - and painfully empathetic.” - Circus Oz.
