As Musical Director and front man for Adelaide swing group “The Tunisian Nights Little Big Band”, Dennis Russell is used to being a musical chameleon. It is a knowledge hard won through 35 years of performing with everything from brass bands to mass choirs, orchestras to heavy rock bands. From swinging as a lead trumpet player in big bands, to writing and performing original music that has been heard all over the world.
His vision for a stripped-down big band has brought classic vocal swing charts back to the audiences of Adelaide since 2018 and has been met with sell out crowds and rave reviews. With a committed group of brilliant musicians, the Tunisian Nights Little Big Band are proof that our home grown talent can match it with the best!
