James Nokise is a Comedian, Playwright, and Social Commentator of Welsh/Samoan parents, based out of New Zealand.
In 2013 he was named New Zealand's Best Comedian off the back of his hit show So So Gangsta, looking at street gangs and politicians. That show went on to play at Perth, Adelaide, ,New York, London, and Edinburgh.
His play's Rukahu and The Minister's Son have won and been nominated for several New Zealand theatre awards, dealing with Pacific Identity in New Zealand and domestic violence.
He regularly appears on New Zealand Radio and Television as a comedic commentator on current affairs.
