AusMusic Legend Lonnie Lee - 1959 - When Rock broke the Sound Barrier
Lonnie in this amazing solo show, focuses on the magic year of 1959, when Rock'n'Roll exploded across the world. Amazing audio visual highlights from his career. See him singing his own Gold hits as well as legendary hits of peers and friends like, Jerry Lee, Ricky Nelson, Fabian, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Elvis and more. He sings over 50 songs in the packed 2 hour show, bringing back the same excitement they did back in the day.
The stories are Rock history and a feature is when he mentions and sings an amazing song he wrote for Roy Orbison called 'Rain'. In the 1970's, Roy said it would be his next #1 single. Unfortunately he didn't record again until the late 1980s in the Wilburys.
This is the same dynamic Lonnie Lee fans have loved for over 68 years, and the reviews are amazing.
Meals from 6pm - Show from 8pm - Plenty of parking and disabled access on site.
