About this event

The Arabic Language and Culture Association of SA proudly presents 'Aghaani Zamaan' - classic Arabic songs that have enchanted generations in the Middle East. Revel as a medley of talented and passionate local artists breathe new life into the songs of their childhood and share their rich cultural heritage. The artists will entertain you with popular Arabic music and songs that will be nostalgic for some and a new experience for lovers of world music. The performance aims to expose to whole new audience the legacy left by the legends of Arabic music and showcase the significance of some iconic songs from the 1960s-1980. Bring along your family and friends and make it a night to remember - but be prepared to sing along!

Presented by:
Arabic Language and Culture Association of South Australia Inc.

The Arabic Language and Culture Association of South Australia (ALCASA) promotes cultural awareness and respect for diversity in South Australian communities. We aim to build bridges between Arabic speaking communities and the wider community through the development of education projects that celebrate cultural diversity and enhance greater understanding and appreciation for Arabic language and culture. Our main current activity consists in holding monthly informal meetups targeted toward non-Arabic and Arabic speaking members in Adelaide. In addition, we host sometimes cultural events in partnership with local and interstate cultural organisations. We also participate in occasional public multicultural events held in Adelaide.
