Sea Star Rock, Rock the Wild The Box at The Garden of Unearthly Delights Sun 15 Feb 2026 Sea Star Rock presents Rock the Wild, a 50-minute jam packed musical adventure with songs that have both an educational and environmental message. Lucy and a plethora of her animal friends like Terrance the Turtle and Wally Walrus take the audience through time, beginning 550 million years ago in a time before dinosaurs. As dinosaur friends roam through the crowd, we’re encouraged to dance and learn about fossils from our own beloved Flinders Rangers. We are then brought back to the present day for the remainder of the show with a focus on our oceans and seas. The ensemble leads the audience with incredible enthusiasm through a great many songs with impressive vocals and non-stop dancing, despite how hot it must be on stage. The well voiced animal characters bring up topics like the impact straws and plastic bags can have on our sea animal friends and we’re encouraged to dance together to find solutions. The songs are catchy, vibrant and include easy to follow actions so even our 2-year-old could join in with enthusiasm. Scattered throughout these songs are moments of extra fun such as interactive games, bubbles and pantomime that had children (and adults) of all ages joining in. There is ample room for all to move around up front (and even create multiple conga lines) with lots of seating also available. Children aged 3 and up will be best suited to have the stamina to last the full 50 minutes. I recommend you bring some water and a snack because you will dance until you drop. A great show for children who love sea animals and dancing, and for parents who wish to foster the importance of looking after our earth and oceans through music.
