My pick of the Fringe. Emotional, tender, heartrending, sublime. Paul Shearman reaches out and you can see the moment between memory and loss in the quiet glimmer of his eye.

Beautifully written, poignant, funny and heartbreaking. Sympathetically honours one actor's journey through their "last audition". Was completely engaged with this sensitively delivered authentic performance. A must see world premier here in Adelaide Fringe 2026.

Fabulous acting- and a poignant message about ageing gracefully, living life to the full and enjoying lifes literary treasures

I was drawn in and fully engaged from the very first words uttered by Paul Shearman in this highly emotive piece. We followed the highs and lows of an actor preparing for an important audition, enjoying Shakespearean tirades and titbits along the way as the central character slowly revealed himself to his audience. Get along to this quality piece of original theatre. Highly recommended!!!

A wonderful performance beautifully acted by a skilled performer. Thought-provoking and moving.

Shows through the words of Shakespeare and past memories, the actor's attempt to keep his identity, independence and worth, while confronting the realisation that the dementia type illness has snuck up on him silently, gradually. His "rehearsal" reveals his past in a bitter sweet way.

Well crafted story and script. Wonderful performance. So many Shakespeare quotes. And really poignant / thought provoking.
