St Andrews Uniting Church, Strathalbyn, is an excellent concert venue with acoustics that have been greatly appreciated by visiting musical groups, including the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne who have performed here 9 times on visits from Germany.
The venue seats 150 downstairs and a further 50 in the gallery.
Wheelchair access with no step from the road over smooth paving stones to the front entrance and down the centre aisle.
The 1848 heritage-listed building in Scottish-Gothic style with beautiful stained-glass windows and spectacular timber roof trusses, sits in the centre of the town, overlooking the Angas River and town gardens. It is the oldest remaining Presbyterian church building in the state and now the oldest Uniting Church building still functioning as a church.
