This show belongs to the Adelaide Fringe 2026 season. This season is now over.

A 4-panel film strip displaying 4 images: an illustration of a scuba diver in a vast underwater cave, a dark-skinned woman with curly hair bathed in blue light, two boys crossing a narrow bridge over a creek, a bearded man singing to the camera amongst a crowd at night.

underexposed

Returning to the Adelaide Fringe for its SIXTH edition!

underexposed is a Film Festival that puts emerging filmmakers under the spotlight.

Since 2021 our mission has been to expose the unseen, underepresented, or quietly forgotten short films and elevate aussie creatives through another avenue of exposure at engaging curated screenings.

This one is for the curious, the cinephiles, the filmmakers and the artists.

underexposed takes place on the unceded lands of the Kaurna people and is organised by Counterfeit Collective, film and trouble makers in Tandanya (Adelaide).

Presented by: Counterfeit Collective

Counterfeit Collective is a team of makers in Tandanya on unceded Kaurna country (Adelaide, South Australia). We are artists, writers, producers, directors, focused on film and media. We aim to promote new projects and create opportunities for local makers, especially those who are up-and-coming and are non-straight-white-guys. Our current projects are the ongoing underexposed Film Festival, coming into its sixth edition, and Rules to Being a Fuckgurl a comedy webseries now in post-production.
