UKE SPRINGSTEEN - NEBRASKA

Music • Storytelling
South Australia • Australian Premiere

B.S Roberts of the Ukulele Death Squad, takes on the much loved music of Bruce Springsteen. After a sell out season in 2021/2022, Fringe 2023 will capture Ben performing the critically acclaimed album of Bruce's - NEBRASKA.  This incredible album will be completely and respectfully reimagined on the humble instrument - the Ukulele.

Nebraska remains one of the most highly regarded albums by singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen. Recorded as demos on a 4-track recorder, intending to be rerecord them with the E Street Band, but later deciding to leave it raw and acoustic.

Ben is an award winning artist for both his solo artistry and collaborative work and promises to portray the true essence of Nebraska's songs, poetry and storytelling.

An event for Bruce fans and ukulele fans alike.

Presented by: B.S ROBERTS / UKULELE DEATH SQUAD

Ben is the founding member and manager of “Ukulele Death Squad”, who launched onto the music scene at the Adelaide Fringe Festival 2017.
In their first three shows, they sold-out Adelaide’s famous Grace Emily Hotel, awarding them a completely sold-out debut Fringe Festival Season. This would turn into over 18 months of non-stop nationwide and international touring in which the Death Squad sold-out every show. The Ukulele Death Squad then went on to sell-out not only their 2017/18 UK and European tours, but also their 2017 and 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival seasons.
Since the band’s inception, Ben has led the group to multiple awards including the “Best Music Act” Weekly Award and the “Best Music Act” of the whole Adelaide Fringe 2018. 2019 saw them take out the “Best Folk Band” of SA

Sessions at the Grace Emily Hotel after 8pm are 18+ due to licensing.
