We invite you to an extraordinary musical experience with TurqOz Ensemble. This collaboration features a talented Turkish singer and four Australian musicians, uniting rich Turkish traditions and contemporary tunes to create a multicultural fusion on stage.

Founded by the Turkish singer Aysegul Altiok and the musician Tim Matthew, this innovative band brings a fusion of Turkish songs with a pop and jazz twist. When you listen to their sounds, you will hear the traditional Turkish vocal abilities that come from the ancient Turkish tradition.

Prepare to witness the perfect harmony between tradition and contemporaneity through the TurqOz Ensemble's mesmerizing performances.

Dr. Aysegul Altiok, born in December 1974 in Turkey, is a distinguished musicologist, vocal educator, and former Associate Professor at the State Conservatory, Istanbul Technical University (2004-2021). Her research spans vocal and breath training, Turkish folk music, and popular music. With a rich history of solo records and publications in Turkish music, she relocated to Adelaide in September 2019. There, she founded "Project Music," providing music therapy and entertainment for adults and individuals with disabilities. Dr. Altiok is also the visionary behind the TurqOz Ensemble, adding diversity to the music scene. She extends her commitment as an Assistant Teacher at the Elder Conservatorium, imparting her knowledge of Musics of the World.
