The Trash Garden
BEST PLAY at the 2024 NYC Fringe.
Atlas and Evelyn are the last people on Earth, and a hilarious pair of clowns. They live in a wasteland of plastic garbage reversing the story of Adam and Eve. Performing for the audience as a source of meaning, they compete in elaborate games and imaginary stories, using theatre and human connection as a refuge from climate grief and despair.
A shapeshifting ghost haunts their games Critics praised The Trash Garden as one of the only climate activist pieces in the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe, calling it "★★★★ A deeply engaging tragicomedy for the end-times" Binge Fringe Magazine.
Audiences can expect raucous laughter alongside deep examinations of the climate crisis, with excellent performances by internationally trained clowns.
