The Score: The Smartphone Orchestra - Immersive Worlds

Join the award-winning interactive orchestra experience that’s wowed audiences across the globe. Winner of the Dutch Game Award for Best Innovation, hailed for reinventing how we experience live music and audience play.

Performed for the first time in Australia by the Adelaide Youth Orchestra. The Score has toured prestigious venues and delighted audiences across Europe. Every performance a unique mix of game and symphony shaped by the audience.

You don’t just listen, you're invited to play. Your phone changes the music in real time. Each show is a completely different performance.

How does it work?

The audience downloads our app for The Score via their mobile browsers. Once the collective is ready, the game begins.
The scores of the audience directly affect what, and how, the orchestra plays.

(One of the few instances where you’re encouraged to use your phone during a concert!)

The concept of The Smartphone Orchestra productions was conceived by Steye Hallema, Hidde de Jong and Eric Magnée.
The Score is made possible thanks to Het Cultuurfonds, Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie and Cultuurloket DigitALL.
