About this event

Melbourne based duo The Merindas are a synthesis of warrior queen, an on-trend style of electronic, expressive music dedicated to their cultural heritage and unprecedented on the Australian music scene. Accompanied on stage by the mastery of Jake Steele's mixing skills, together they create an atmospheric fusion of Indigenous, electro-tribal pop.

The Merindas are, Candice Lorrae of Jawoyn and Thursday Islander herritage (born Darwin NT) and Nyoongar Ballardong Whadjuk woman Kristel Kickett (from Tammin WA). They discovered their mutual passion for music in Perth more than 7 years ago. Now based in Melbourne, these soul sisters are set to trail-blaze their innovative style of Indigenous music.

In 2020, The Merindas release their explosive debut album after a string of single releases.
