CANCELLED - THE LOVE MUSSELS SAVE THE WORLD
After a 2 year global pandemic the world needs saving and The Love Mussels, fresh from 2021's critically acclaimed sold out Einstein-inspired Adelaide Fringe psychedelic rock fest "It's All Relative" and their controversial "Tropicana" tour of Central America - have acepted the challenge and will attempt, live on stage and for the very first time to save the world the only way they know how: with songs from their latest album and a treasure trove of music from their multi-album catalogue. For One night only - it’s a freak out! To be filmed and recorded for posterity and presented to the UN, WHO, WTO, UNESCO, NATO, OPEC, G20, NATO and the EU this show could, possibly, change the course of humanity in a single night.
Presented by: The Love Mussels
The Love Mussels remain an enigma. A hippy trippy psychedelic band like no other, forged in the hard-drinking clubs and pubs of Australia, producing an array of diverse albums: Dirty World, Castro's Last Cigar (banned in Cuba) Comfortable and Relaxed, Seafood Bisque, Global Conspiracy and It's All Relative - politically probing, provocative and unforgiving in their pursuit of sonic purity. In September 1966 George Harrison visited India to take sitar lessons from the great Ravi Shankar. 18 months later all four Beatles travelled there to take part in a transcendental meditation course and consume various herbal concoctions. None of this has anything to do with The Love Mussels, although members have enjoyed many flavoursome curries over the years and a bought a few "Mumbai Live" T shirts.
