The Defiant
Joyful and emotive, The Defiant is a celebration of rebellion and fierceness told through an explosion of acrobatic feats and phenomenal live music. Bringing together world class athletes and acrobats, The Defiant presents a dystopian circus that is electrifying, exciting and joyful. The Defiant explores force, energy and power through bold contemporary circus and a live rock soundtrack.
This brand new show by the director of Rouge and Rebel will be performing its South Australian premiere at the Peacock in Gluttony.

Highwire began in 2006, and has consistently created contemporary physical theatre, circus arts and puppetry to thrill both adults and children.
Arts venue hub Gluttony is a favourite destination for Adelaide Fringe. Over the past decade, Gluttony has grown to become synonymous with the East End’s Rymill Park/Murlawirrapurka during Adelaide’s festival months of February and March. Thousands of artists have passed under its Art Deco-styled façade to perform on its stages, from local up-and- comers to national TV stars to globally renowned acts.
