Sufi Music Highway
Sufi Music Highway features Farhan Shah (the Pakistani Pavarotti) who brings traditional Sufi and Qawwali music from Pakistan, Middle East & North India into a fusion style performances with key musicians and dancers. This 800 year old musical tradition is grounded in mystical poetry expressed through a musical genre that has spread throughout the region and influenced major religions, mystic movements and secular artists. The performance features a high powered musical ensemble with dance. Sufi Music Highway has held Fringe shows for the last four years receiving rave reviews, 5 star ratings, fantastic audience acclaim. The performance is led by award winning singer Farhan Shah (UNESCO City of Music Award) who has performed in Australia as well as Canada, Dubai, Portugal and Pakistan.
