Sufi Desert Voices
Australia's foremost 9-piece Sufi music group, 'SufiOz' featuring lead singer Farhan Shah (The Pakistani Pavarotti) blends traditional and modern musical instruments merging exciting Sufi music with world music sounds in a show celebrating the desert roots of Australian Sufism with songs based on recitation of a book of Bengali Sufi poetry and stories found at the Broken Hill Mosque in the 1960's. This is a concert of powerful mystical music and poetry celebrating the long history of cultural diversity in Australia.
Sufi Oz brings together the sounds of harmonium, tablas and santoor together with guitars, violins, keyboards and soaring vocals from award winning singer Farhan Shah.
Bring a rug and cushion if you wish.
