Songs of Middle-Earth
Come on a magical journey with acclaimed harpist, singer and story-teller Emma Horwood as she explores the fantasy world of Middle-Earth, with music set to poetry by J.R.R. Tolkien from 'The Lord of the Rings' and dramatic readings from the books. Emma is a music graduate of the Elder Conservatorium at Adelaide University and a leading harpist, soprano soloist and ensemble singer in Adelaide. A core member of Adelaide Chamber Singers since 2000, is a member of vocal quintet Syntony and was a founding member of Eve Vocal Trio. Emma is a member of Duo Celtica and Harp2Harp and directs the SA Celtic Harp Orchestra. She has performed as soloist in the Elder Hall, Urrbrae House and Flinders University concert series, at The Lab, for The Firm and with Adelaide Baroque. Emma performs regularly as harpist and vocalist at weddings, funerals and corporate events, and also enjoys harp teaching and choral conducting. She has recorded several CD’s, all featured on ABC Classic FM.
