Sleight of Sound

Music and magic combined. Join magician Rob Ellinger and his musician brother Chris as they blend their two art forms together. Songs become tricks and illusions dance to the beat. You might even be able to sing along - although we won't judge you if you don't. This is the soundtrack to the impossible.

Presented by: Rob and Chris Ellinger

Rob and Chris are brothers who have been competing for attention since the 1980s. Rob is an award-winning magician and hypnotist with a lifelong fascination with the craft, from cards to coins to mind reading. He has been a regular at the Adelaide Fringe since 2018, and made his debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2025. Chris is a multi-lingual, multi-instrumentalist and singer who has played music since he was a kid. His modern folk vibe is light-hearted or heartbreaking by turns. This is his first Fringe but Rob assures him nothing can possibly go wrong.
