Singin' in the Pain: A Disability and Chronic Illness Cabaret
Adelaide's award-winning disability and chronic illness cabaret returns for 2020!
Cabaret, community, and catharsis are what it's about at Nexus Arts Venue this Adelaide Fringe! Winner of "Best Cabaret" at the Weekly Fringe awards, this SA-based production aims to elevate the individual voices of disabled and chronically ill artists in a soapbox-style format. Our talented cast of disabilibabes and chronic cuties will share their experiences with honesty, clarity, and sometimes hilarity while showing off their on-stage finesse.
Laugh, cry, and learn from our rhinestoned glam-gang for a second year of burlesque storytelling.
★★★★½ "Beautiful and empowering" Tulpa Magazine 2019.
★★★★★ "These women gave us their personal stories . . . and we felt privileged to hear them" InDaily 2019.
