CANCELLED - Sentiments
Soloist Amelia Watson explores ‘heartbreak’ and its ever-changing meaning and relevance for queer communities.
A heartfelt and dynamic contemporary dance performance; Sentiments is a world where handwritten letters, sent in by LGBTQIA+ people from across the globe, are shared in an anthropological examination of love, pain and safety.
As their Australian choreographic debut, Amelia shares personal and collective stories in a vulnerable and highly physical solo show. This performance will be an unofficial 'part 2' to their first choreographic piece 'Ceremonial', which premiered as part of the ResiDANZE di Primavera '23 in Bologna, Italy.
Graphic design by Jim Olijkan, photography by Enrica Cuccarese.
