SELFIES AFTER DARK

• Film
World Premiere

Selfies After Dark makes YOU a participant in the night out of social media famous Stephanie, experiencing the sensory overload of life in the spotlight through her social media updates, and exposing her real life through covert captures from the stalkers. In a world where the false seems real through these ‘influencers’ portrayal of reality, everyone publicly seeks validation, confronted by the dark side of what it ultimately costs to be envied by others.

Please note: Patrons are required to bring earphones and a mobile phone with the installed Instagram app. Please request a device if you don't have a smartphone (2 available per show). Ticket purchase releases permission to be filmed.

Presented by: Underground Transmitter

Filmmaker Brendan Hay applies his cinematic vision, storytelling skills and editing background to present content to an audience in innovative ways.

This has included documenting culture through hip hop in ‘Rhythm and Poetry,’ the experience of travel in various travel adventure films, and seeing a more personal side to some of Australia’s biggest prime time TV talent.

The way people view stories will continue to evolve, so Hay merges modern storytelling with the ways humanity watches the world.

‘Selfies after Dark’ continues this evolution.
