Sam Taunton - This Must Be the Place

I grew up on Shoalhaven St, Nowra, NSW. The house wasn’t super flash, the place was basically held together with pop-rivots and a seemingly religious use of WD-40. It was one of those post-war knockabout fibro-shells you still see on quarter-acre blocks all over Australia’s poorer suburbs.
Last year, my Dad annoyingly sold up and moved away. Oh! And also, the nightly TV show I hosted called The Project ended (but that’s not really part of the tale...).

This 60 minute story, filled with a lifetime of suburban misadventures, small-town characters, and the strange nostalgia of losing the place that made you. I’ve been telling people this show is about the house I grew up in, but it’s really about everything that happened inside.
