Railway Bob

Railway Bob

Railway Bob the 'celebrity dog' rode the railways of Australia in the 1880s & 90s. Starting at Peterborough (SA) he travelled for 12 years on the trains, a favourite of engine drivers and public alike. With no master, he chose where he wanted to go and travelled to all corners of Australia. His adventures were many. He finally retired to Hindley St, Adelaide to live his final years and like all good stories there is even mystery surrounding his demise. Using puppetry, songs and storytelling theatre our acclaimed show celebrates this remarkable canine, the intelligence and character of dogs and the pioneers who opened up Australia in the late 19th century. If you love dogs, history, trains and a great story this one's for you. "Superb storytelling. Charming beyond measure"-The Clothesline

Yes there is puppetry & storytelling but the show is aimed at adults and older students. It is not suitable for children under 7 years of age.
