Radiant Music
Adelaide flutist Melanie Walters will take listeners through a rich sonic landscape in this recital of music for flute and electronics. The music will include works by Thea Musgrave, Nico Muhly, and Lilja María Ásmundsdóttir.

Melanie Walters has been described as a “champion of new music in South Australia” (The Serenade Files), and her flute-playing as “truly exceptional” (The Advertiser).
She holds a PhD in flute performance, for which she received a Dean’s Commendation. She specialises in performing experimental and contemporary classical music, and has performed at the Bang on a Can Summer Festival, Musica Viva Sessions, COMA, and the Australian Flute Festival.
Melanie is the Artistic Director of the flute ensemble Coruscalia Collective, Principal Flute of the Adelaide Wind Orchestra, and Vice President of The Flute Society of South Australia.
