PleaseDon'tCatchMeWhenIFall.

Following a sold-out season at Melbourne Fringe, emerging choreographer Aimee Raitman returns with an unlikely collaboration of bodies and minds in a premiere contemporary dance work.

Two dancers, three decades apart in age, navigate the awkwardness and intimacy of being in close proximity, and the systems and structures that support or restrict them. This work is for anyone like Aimee's Nana, who "doesn't really get contemporary dance," and for Aimee's ex-boyfriend, who said she "probably takes too many risks." There may be a trampoline involved.

"clever and relevant ideas, prodding us to question our individual and collective practices; all and everything that surrounds us." Farrago Magazine.

Q&A available on 12th March and additional sessions available upon request. Please contact Schools Program Coordinator at schools@adelaidefringe.com.au

Aimee Raitman is an emerging choreographer and interdisciplinary artist based in Naarm/Melbourne. Aimee’s debut double-bill DEIFIED, co-produced and choreographed with Patrick O’Luanaigh of Australian Dance Theatre, had a sold-out season at Melbourne Fringe Festival (2022). Her curiosity is in creating work that is as creatively accessible for the audience as it is for the artist, often utilising audience participation. Aimee has since been supported to present her work in theatres and galleries in Australia and internationally. Aimee studied a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) at the Victorian College of the Arts, and the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. CoExist Collective nurtures an inclusive creative community where people are supported in making, sharing, and experiencing art.
