PLASTICA FANTASTICA

Queensland

An outlandish award-winning one-woman comedy show not to be missed! Follow the story of a woman who is addicted to plastic, but life falls apart when she finds out that she is allergic to the one thing she loves most...... Get ready for questionable dance moves, a musical Tupperware moment, a potential skirt split & several 'what did I just witness moments?'

The show has won hearts and giggles across the country in schools, fringe festivals, high care centers, at least two lounge rooms, & recently sold-out a second season in Brisbane.

"Had the audience enthralled and amused from beginning to end" ★★★★★ Matilda Marseillaise

"Plastica Fantastica had a clever premise, a clear purpose and brought genuine laughs without being preachy." Nothing Ever Happens in Brisbane

Presented by: Jennifer Laycock

Jennifer Anne Laycock is an actor with a stage three addiction to peanut butter and a very unfortunate last name. She grew up in North Queensland and is now based in Brisbane - the land of the Jagera and Turrbal people. She is best known for her absurd comedy, & ability to dance really bad.

Plastica Fantastica is performed by Jennifer, directed by Nicolas, and written by the duo. The pair started work on the show when studying with Philippe Gaulier at his school in France. They have both won awards for this piece. Jennifer winning OVERALL WINNER & Nicolas BEST DIRECTOR at the Short & Sweet Festival at the Brisbane Powerhouse.
