Our Beautiful Trauma Story
"Raise Your Glass" if you are wrong in all the right ways! The underdogs and dirty little freaks will be out in force to sing, celebrate and commiserate life's ups and downs together.
Part P!nk tribute show, part storytelling and part group singalong, "Our Beautiful Trauma Story" weaves a tale of relationship woes and wins that are totally relatable... and also some weird eyebrow-raising stuff that you hope to never experience!
This is the story of a string of failed relationships, the lessons learned along the way, and the soundtrack which accompanied them over the course of 20 years. "So What" if you just lost your husband? Bring your rock moves and come be a rock star with us! We're "Never Gonna Not Dance Again" because of anyone!
Presented by: The Mental Fitness Movement
We challenge common assumptions and narratives about mental health, by sharing the stories, skills and strategies gifted to us by life. Our founding storyteller is a seasoned fringe-dweller who is stoked to be stepping into her first Adelaide Fringe Festival! As a queer, non-monogamous, white-presenting Aboriginal woman, Bek Smith has navigated mental illness, domestic violence and homelessness and emerged more loving and more human than ever. She shares her stories with care, generosity and vulnerability, intentionally using her experiences to help make other people's lives better.
