Offbeat: The Molly Silvy Quintet
See a century of music with your own eyes.
Vocalist Molly Silvy makes her Adelaide Fringe Festival debut with her inspiring new show! A celebration and reflection of music history, this show will pay homage to the trailblazing women in Jazz from 1920-2020. Blending Trad, Blues, Latin, and Contemporary styles, this show will present an impactful vocalist from each decade who pioneered the Jazz industry, making it what it is today. From the swing of Ella Fitzgerald to the Latin groove of Esperanza Spalding, be prepared to explore the innate musicality embodied by generations of inspiring women. See these icons revived, as Molly channels their sound, spirit and sass onstage.
Bold, soulful and though-provoking, this show is guaranteed to get you laughing, crying and off your seat to boogie!

Molly Silvy is a dynamic vocalist and composer, who has embraced various styles of music such as Jazz, Contemporary, Rock and Musical Theatre. Her love for these styles has informed her improvisational and timbral choices. In 2024, Molly was one of sixteen students accepted into the Class of Cabaret program across South Australia, where she performed a self-devised cabaret set in the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. This experience ignited her love of cabaret, inspiring her to co-write another set as a part of Hive Inspire Inc’s “Bloom” for the 2025 Adelaide Fringe. Throughout 2025, Molly has shared her love of Jazz, performing at venues such as Adelaide Convention Centre, The Gov, Ern Malley, Nineteen Ten, Southern Jazz Club and Leigh Street Luggage.
