My Queer Spiritual Entropy

My Queer Spiritual Entropy

Theatre and Physical Theatre • LGBTQIA+
Victoria • Adelaide Fringe Premiere

Come and join myself, four other different versions of me and my clown-tree-spirit, Rowan, on a 50-minute spiritual quest to find self-acceptance in a world that doesn't want to accept me. It's kind of like parts therapy... and a bit chaotic, but that's why I'm performing in Adelaide's cutest tea room, Curiositeas (5 mins walk from Gluttony), where you can drink tea and munch on vegan cake in an intimate audience of up to 20.

Through absurdist physical comedy and tragedy, I uncover the light and shadow of being a non-binary person in a restrictive world. Connection to nature's diversity, with reference to celtic mythology & druidry, is my guiding star throughout the show, so at the very least, I hope you leave with a desire to hug more trees.

Trigger warnings: personal references to anorexia, drug addiction, sexual assault, childhood bullying, patriarchal & narcissistic abuse and gender dysphoria.

Audiences say...
"Deep but ridiculous... in the best way"
"It's new age, it creates awareness. It's healing, it's hilarious"
"Mind-blowing show"

Available as an intimate performance in Adelaide's cutest plant-based cafe, Curiositeas: Sun 10th Mar - 2:00pm, Sat 16th Mar - 10:30am and Sun 17th Mar - 2:00pm, tickets include special high tea and brunch performances & early evening shows.
Please arrive 30 minutes early to the venue for a stress-free experience and make sure you have purchased/received your tea and snacks before the show begins.

Presented by: Holly Rowan

Holly is an emerging non-binary, multidisciplinary artist and performer whose work sits on the bridge of comedy and tragedy. Through a quirky combination of improv, movement and voice, they share personal stories & present raw, messy humanness as a means to unravel difficult topics & connect people with the core of their humanity. Holly is a true anarchist at heart.
